Contact Dermatitis Treatment

Description

Contact dermatitis results from an irritation to the skin to cause the skin to become irritated with a rashy dry appearance after contact which results in a tender red area that is sensitive to the touch and often to use that area of the body especially if it is the feet or hands which are often used just to walk or get things accomplished.

Symptoms of Contact Dermatitis

Red itchy lesion or papules that are dry and often cracked red skin that is sometimes painful.

Causes of Contact Dermatitis

The symptoms occurs normally when an akin area of the body has been in 'contact' to home soaps or chemicals that are irritating to the skin such as bleach or strong cleaning supplies, polish removers, etc. Likewise, industrial or farm equipment, grease, etc. that comes into contact with the skin will often cause skin irritation. You may think of 'contact dermatitis' as an 'irritation' to the skin or a skin rash'.

Treatment of Contact Dermatitis
